Can I put a UV filter film on my garage door windows?

NO! We do NOT recommend installing a film filtering the UV rays on your garage door windows.

There is a risk that the glass will break when installing such a film on a sealed unit. In fact, these UV blocking window films store a lot of heat into the glass, which could lead to a thermal break.

If you decide to proceed anyway. You should make sure with your film suppliers that they offer a warranty on the glass in case of thermal breaks.

Garaga’s warranty on your garage door windows will be void automatically once such UV window films are installed.
